Power line from battery to trunk

Power line from battery to trunk
I'm on mobile so apologies if this info is posted somewhere; just harder to see on the screen.
Any advice or write-ups for running a line on the LS? I am installing a 500w Pioneer shallow to replace the OEM sub. Power will come from a JL amp.
I've not run a line like this before so I was looking for any tips/advice the board has. TIA.

Remove the rear seat back and run the wire from the trunk through the hole on the driver's side - you will have to remove a grommet which is more like a sticker. Then run the wire underneath the door sills to the front of the car and then through a grommet in the firewall into the engine compartment. There is a terminal on the left side of the engine compartment fuse box (when facing the car from the front) that you should be able to use - no need to tap directly into the battery. Don't try to run the wire on the right side of the car .... been there, done that, wish I hadn't.
It may not be recommended but my mechanic ran a power wire underneath my 00 LS from the trunk to the engine compartment fuse box I mentioned above. He routed the wire from the trunk through a grommet for an ABS wire. He did it something like eight years ago and it hasn't been a problem. Took him only a few minutes to do.
