Default Just Installed the PBA-01 from Video Nav.

Hi all...

This past weekend, I've just installed the PBA-01 purchased from Typhoon Electronics. This little gadget works great, I can now utilize my Nav. while watching TV or DVD. Anyone know how to get rid of some of the minor distortion on the screen from the PBA unit, since I get a wave of lines on the screen when I watch TV or plays DVD.

Greddy,

What do you mean? Can you take a picture and post? I just installed this unit over the weekend and didn't have any distortion. Maybe you need to switch the video signals?

Did you get the unit from Video-Nav.com. I don't know they have the retailer or Typhoon Electronic order it for them.
Make sure you have a good gound. I had this problem before, but it turned out to be a bad ground location.

How much did it cost?

Can Timmy McRookieWrench (me) do it?

Is it a separate unit to insert the dvd into? Will the sound run through my ML system?

I just finished installing mine this weekend, thanks to Nuum and Dmitry. I got the wavey lines but only when I select "Menu". I can barely read anything. I'll double check the ground when I get off work.

Thanks again Nuum!

It said Typhoon Electronic on my package as well. This is probably there company name since it's legit.

VVT-i, Did you try to mount the GEX underneath the NAV ECU? I worked great for me.

I mount the GEX on top of the nav ecu. Thanks for the advise, but back then everybody wants to see it. So, I have to leave everything out and everybody can see how this little mod work and how it's wire to each other.
Hey, Cong, your welcome and I'm glad everything work out for you.

VVT-i,

Can you post a picture of where your ground is. I'm starting to see some distortion when I switch from NAV to TV to VT1. I have nothing pluged into VT1 but there is one screen that is black and has white lines running through when I swtich functions.

Thanks!

My friend said the wavy line that goes across the screen is from the tuner. I thought it might be the ground too, but he said that some of the tuners will give you the line...hmmm...I bet it might be a ground issue.
