Cassette help, OEM head unit pioneer.
Hey everyone, looking for some help and couldn't find anything on the forums or google. I bought a cassette adapter from walmart and my head unit didnt recognize it so i tried a regular one and still nothing. Tape goes in, i hear a whir and tape doesn't drop down, just shoots out before trying anything. Wondering if anyone has had this happen on a 97 sc300 or if anyone knows about a catch that's broken or something of that sort. Thanks for any input and i'm willing to pull the thing out and post pix.

I have tried those adapters in my SC, GS, and LS and they suck. I just order a FM mod for the LS and it has been working great for my LS400 so I plan to install one in all my cars as I like the look of the stock head unit. With a wood kit it will look even better. Ordered it from Wal-Mart of all places and its great I think.

Having Factory Radio Service in California add a 3.5mm aux-in to my LS400 radio head unit was the best $100 I've ever spent: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...000-ls400.html
The sound quality is incredible whether I am streaming from music stored on my phone or from Internet apps like Pandora or Slacker.
