Stock Radio with Aftermarket Speakers?
wonder if anyone here has the stock head unit (pioneer) but changed out the speakers. any sound improvement?

when i first started working on my system, i've kept my stock head and just changed speakers.
...better highs but bass was actually better with the matched stock speakers.
after having to turn the volume way up on the stock head unit for a month or two to get a rattle out of my speakers, i've added an amp with line level converters and then they rocked.
i kinda miss the look of my stock headunit...being all matched with the rest of the car.
oh well...onwards to the pursuit of sound.
