Where to mount aftermarket amp? 2002 ES 300
I have a 2002 ES 300 with an aftermarket amp and sub woofer. Where can I mount the amp? Its a regular size amp. There doesn't seem to be space anywhere. The metal "ceiling" is pretty thin and I'm afraid of hanging a heavy amp there. There's no space on the back of the seat because of the access hole in the center. There's no space on the sides.
The amp has been sitting loose on the floor and the installation is a mess. See the attached picture (audio people might say "yikes").
There's also a small bass restoration module and the sub woofer is 12". I was wanting to re-wire/mount/secure everything and clean it up.
I could theoretically put the amp on top of the woofer. That's the only good option that I can think of. The bass module could go on the side of the speaker. But that would mean I couldn't take the speaker out if I needed space temporarily - unless I also put in some kind of plugs and jacks so everything plugs in and can be taken out if needed. That would make the clean-up a bit harder but the result would be nice.
It could go under the passenger seat but then I don't like anyone not being able to slide their feet there.
I was wondering if anyone has pictures of their installation that they can share so I can get ideas. Again this is for a 2002 ES 300. The setup could be the same for 2002-2006 ES.

without seeing the car its difficult but heres a idea look behind the trim panel on the passenger side of the trunk close to the taillight... get a piece of dynamat (after thoroughly cleaning the metal) apply the dynamat ( a piece roughly 3'' bigger than the amp itself)once the dynamat is smoothed down.. get a piece of 3/4 mdf at least 2'' larger than the amp and silicone the wood(use a lot to ensure a solid mount) to the dynamat use 3m painters tape to hold it in place til it cures (wait 24hrs for the silicone to fully cure) and use 100% silicone!!! clear works best as the colors take longer to cure and DONT USE LIQUID NAILS as it never fully cures the same is true for CAULK.. once the silicone is cured using 1/2'' screws mount the amp to the mdf.. now u can tidy up that pasta u have back there...and then run a wire to the sub encl under the floor mat....
