Do I need Front Speaker Baffle Holes?
I installed 6.5" speakers in the front of my 98 GS400.
But the bass (not that I expect much) seems kinda weak.
Would I benefit from putting a hole in the speaker baffle (see pic) for the air to "move"?
(Just using the head unit to power the speakers. no amp yet)
Thanks in advance

Honestly using the factory baffle as made is best...Most door speakers dont do well in infinite baffle settings ie open door pannels....but also if your HHu isn't meeting the Power demand of your new speakers the bass will be weak but also "mid bass" is a misleading term....you'll never bang 6.5's or 6.5's lol if your seeking more bass get a 5 channel amp and power your door speakers and a sub all in one shot

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. Wasn't trying to buy an amp but the factory radio alone sounds little better than a high powered WalkMan radio - lol.
