Getting back to the question of Sub placement. I built 3 boxes for my GS430, one firing through the seats, one firing up through the deck and finally one firing rear. Keep in mind all of these boxes were sealed 2 chamber (1.5 cu ft per) powered by 2 JL Audio 500/1's going to 2 Kicker S12L7's, I found that firing them to the rear yielded the BEST response. Now, I am focusing on a slot ported box up through the rear deck with the sub facing the rear. I want to get more air into the cabin as possible, probably will be cutting in the rear deck to do so.

pcmw,
Thanks for the info on TM Engineering; I live in Carson, CA. so I will definitely check them out! I've heard good things about Audio Options on Normandie in Torrance. I'd appreciate any opinions regarding the quality of their work; and the reasonableness of their prices for equipment and/or installation services.

i dunno about the 2nd gen gs but i have a 1st gen gs300 and I have 1 eclipse alum powered off an arc 1500dr. All i did was remove the stock sub and build a custom fiberglass enclosure under the rear deck and above the gas tank. Sounds great the way i have it.
