Post Hookin subs to rear deck speakers????

I was just wondering.....well one of my friends let me borrow his subs. He has 2 12" 6000's Mtx subs. And he tould me befor ehe had an amp he just hooked them up to his rear deck speakers. So I was wondering if i could do that with my lexus. I know without an amp i wont get much as power as if i did have one. But he said it will sound pretty good. So what do you all think????

Thanks

I would suggest against it.

Those subs will gobble your deck power and still want more. You could end up overheating your deck...

That and it will more than likely sound like compelete distortion.

My opinion would be to wait until you can get an amp.

By the way, are these subs sealed? Ported? IB?
