Vlads Video nav tested for the 98 GS
I was the guniea pig for the video nav(pba1) for the 98 GS. I just finished the install a few minutes ago(still need to put my car back together), and everything seems to be working great! Im going to test it for a few days just to be sure there are no problems and post some feedback, but as of now, I couldnt be happier with it!
Heres a link to a pic I took of it, this is the tv reception.

Im diggin this TV mod! I just spent my lunch hour watching Judge Joe Brown. Everything is working pefectly after a day of driving around. Anyone who was waiting for this mod to be ready for their 98 or 99, here ya go, it works great.
The only thing I dont like about it, and its not the product itself, is the fact that the screen is angled up, this sometimes casues a glare. Obviously thats the way the car is made and not Vlads product that causes that.
Damn, I get to watch Joe Millionaire on the way home tonight!

Manuel,
I bought the Pioneer tuner for $225, the antenna was $75, and as far as the Vlads pba 1, check his web site out for pricing. I had a special "tester" price on it. It is a pretty straight forward install, nothing too trckiy about it. I was aprehensive about cutting into my factory nav wires, but it worked out fine. It wouldnt be too difficult for them to make the converter with plugs on all of the wires so you woudnt have to cut, but it really wasnt a big deal. I would recommend it.

Dee, Just what you need bro, another tv in your ride!
To answer your question, yes you can hook up a DVD player, video game, etc, etc. The Pioneer tuner has I believe 3 video outs to add onto your system. Im going to add a dvd player, Im just trying to figure out which one to get.

hey tturbopimp,
have you hooked up a dvd player to your screeens yet? how does the dvd look on the stock 98 nav screen. I was looking in getting the vlad system but i saw it on a screen of a 01 GS. Their screen seems to fit the widescreen of a dvd much better.

I will have my DVD player hooked up in a week or so, I just got the headrests back a few days ago. Im also debating now on what I want to do for the DVD player, I might put a PS2 in there instead of the dvd player. Whatever I do, it will be done soon. I will update when Im done.
