Android mirroring on older gen models
Hi guys, I'm from the UK, I have a third generation Lexus GS430 late 2005 model. I believe the sat nav is 4th generation. I wanted to mirror my android samsung note 3 phone to my car, reading around it looks as if the vaistech ivic won't be compatible with my car as the 4th gen system is to old. I may have found a solution I wanted your guys thoughts on this.
I can add AV input usig NAV TV http://www.nav.tv/products/audio-vis...v1-lex?car=138
Once that is installed I found this piece of kit called MimicsX2, which is a universal kit allowing you to mirror your android device on any touch screen.
http://www.customgadz.com/shopx/inde...roller=product or
The following link explains abit more detail about the MimicsX2 system: http://www.mp3car.com/android/149669...mirroring.html
One potential problem that I may have is that my note3 phone has HDMI out and this kit requires me to connect the video output of my phone to the lexus head unit via the NAV TV, I was wondering does any know if you can have a HDMI input to NAVTV so my phone shows up on the monitor of my head unit. I think this piece of kit will help if NAVTV allow can not do this: http://car-solutions.com/en/adapter-...em-monitor.php
So what are your thoughts on this solution for mirroring my samsung note3 phone on my Lexus GS430 with 4th gen satnav system?
Kind regards
Umair
