I have installed my JL Audio 10IB4 and Kicker 400.1 amp and the last thing I want to do is place the Kicker remote bass control in the ashtray as Copout221 did in his car. I can't quite figure out how to remove that ashtray unit, no apparent screws etc. to feed the remote wire through. Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to break something at this point.

Open up the ashtray unit. Grab by the door and rock the ashtray unit back and forth until it unlocks. Then it'll come out.
