Default disabling stock car alarm?

Hey guys
I've installed a new alarm/remote start in my 93 sc300 and I was wondering whats the best way to disable teh factory alarm? Can I just pull a fuse or do I have to cut a wire? I found another post saying it might be the blue wire so I wanted a confirmation on that.

i actually like having the stock alarm with my omega systems. when the aftermarket alarm sounds it triggers the current sensing wire on the factory door pin and you get one helluva light show.

I'd be fine with it but my remote start doesn't work. It just sets the factory alarm off.

I also have that problem. When the security light is on and I try to start the car the factory alarm goes off. If you want to completely disable the alarm forever(well kind of forever, its reversible) you could cut the factory security system wire which is in the kick panel with all the other small wires. Like I said a looong time ago. bulldogsecurity.com has thw wire colors and locations for the wire. Before cutting it if thats what you decide to do make sure its like right wire incase they have the wrong color or somethign posted. Its very easy to confuse wires down there. A Theres about 3,000 red wires so just doube check everything before you cause yourself a headache.

FACTORY DISARM GRN (-) DRV KICK PANEL

Green sound right to anyone whos done it? Thats what bulldog said... Just checking cuz I can't go out and do it in the subzero temps we are experiencing

Do you just cut the green wire to disable the factory alarm?

Now from what i remember when I did this cutting the alarm wire should disable it. I cant remmeber if anything else needed to be done this was a very long time ago. As far as I recall tho cutting the wire will stop the car from activating the alarm at all.

hey racing fan, you can use your trigger wire from the remote start to the starter relay. The relay input is what gets cut by the factory alarm, but you can use the remote start trigger to kick it as long as you do it at the relay.

Here is what I have done to make my remote start full proof.

I have a DEI 550 brain. It comes with a factory disarm feature that more or less, simultates a person inserting the key into the lock and engaging it, hence shutting down the factory system. So.. I click the remote start, it engages the lock motor, relocks the car, and then starts it. Works perfect.

Hey fellows,

I am having problem in disabling my 94 SC400 factory alarm system. I tried to cut the thick GRN (-) Wire at the driver side kick pannel as suggested by the club members here. It not only disable the alarm but also the power windows as well. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

BTW Bulldogsecuirity.com wiring does not have the wiring code for the 94 SC400.

i have not disable the factory system.

I use the aftermarket alarm to disarm then remotestart the car which then lock my doors and I use the botton on the lexus key to unlock the doors.

somewhat involved but one way to get around it.

I like VSsc400's solution the best...im also looking at a remote starter the guy at the shop said it was a nightmare to work on the Lex sc....
