Thumbs up Flip your lid.

Do plenty on the trunk lid and around the underneath of the wing...if you have one...also areas where your subs are pointing, if pointing back...just hit the spots, Try and make it even as well...but trunk is crucial.

yea i have a spoiler. dynomated the ovals on the topside of the trunk when closed, the trunk clasp, the inside trunk release lever, and the little white clamps the hold the wires that run around on the trunk lid there about every foot or so. but man its still sounds like crap.

did you buy the Dynamat trunk kit, or just some bulk Dynamat? I used the trunk kit on my old car and it did help reduce vibrations.

hmm, so you're sayin you just have Dynamat extreme right? The specific "trunk kit" I'm talking about contains: two pieces of dynamat extreme and three pieces of dynamat original, the box has a picture of it installed in a trunk.

Anyway, you have dynamat extreme so you're all good. Dynamat recommends putting it on the trunk lid, the side panels of the trunk, and also on the trunk floor. That exactly what I did on my old car. You may need more dynamat depending on how quiet you want to make it, check out retrodrive's website.

This dude right here

There are plenty of products out there that can replace dynomat extreme with much lower price and the same performance.

Good call retro!
Here's an example of just how overpriced Dynamat is...I used to work at an electronics store, the perk was that I could buy everything at store cost...so I think that Dynamat trunk kit was selling for about $130 bucks at the time, I bought it for about $40. That's like a 325% markup!!!

The markup on Dynamat is obscene, as is the markup on Monster Cable. Retro's right- look what less than $20 worth of RAAMMat will cover:

The 60mil wuld be closest. I think Dynomat is around 70-75 and it does not really change it's deadening ability by much.

Get the license plate if you haven't already, that's always one of the first things I'd do and often the worst single offender in the car.
