Default What size inverter???

How many watt inverter should I need for an X-Box......I bought a fairly good quality inverter from Radio Shack it is a 140 Watt and it plays my DVD player fine but has trouble w/ my X-box....what size does anyone have here...it surprises me because my friend has had an inverter in his F-150 for like 3 years now and it is only 100 Watts but runs the X-box fine.....could it be that our cigarette lighters supply a little less than 14V mayb 10 or 11V?????

yeah, a 300w unit should do the trick - be sure it's 300w continuous, not peak - producing 300w of 125v, that's 2.4A of AC power, which will draw 24A of 12 volts through your lighter circuit or power outlet, check the fuse for the circuit to see what the circuit will handle...
