Default Need guidance in getting my speakers working again

1993 Lexus SC400...bought the car with a subwoofer and aftermarket headunit. The system was messed up so I decided to just go back to stock. I de wired the sub and the aftermarket headunit and installed a fully working Nakamichi head unit back in. Unplugged most if not all of the aftermarket wiring, and installed the stock amp and CD changer in the trunk. The amp harness had been maligned with so I rewired it back to stock. (yes, I did it correctly). Radio seems to power on, cd changer plays but nothing emits from the speakers at all. (Speakers were working before I removed the aftermarket setup) Speakers are wired up, all aftermarket harnesses are removed, everything seems to function besides the fact that there is no sound. Volume button wouldn't do anything so I replaced that and it still doesn't work. ll fuses are good.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you check to see if the subs were being ran through a line output converter and maybe you cut the input to the speakers now?

^You may be onto something...this was no cheap setup either. 960 watt amp. Where would the output converter be located? I know it's not in the trunk.

Could be anywhere really. Should be able to follow the inputs for the subs back and find it there. Some people do some very creative installs and not always in a good way.
