Just got my system in ... Questions
I just put my a new stereo into my 00 GS4.
Sub: JL Audio 10W7 with the JL 500 W amp
Diamond S600S in the front and 5" Diamond coax in rear Powered w/ a 4 channel Alpine V12
I ran the speakers to High/Low converters then to the Amp.
Questions...
Is the factory amp in the head unit? In the current configuration, the fronts seem to be already crossed over at about 100HZ. If this is true, any recommended wiring to bypass the crossover?
How are the super systems being wired - I want to keep factory head unit.
Once I get this right - I'll post some pictures and lessons learned
Thanks

BTW, I see that you are using a line out converter (line level converter), but where did you find your remote wire?

I have the Nav system and the head unit has controls thru the head unit.
Response to the other question...
Which remote wire? To power the amps? I used the ignition. The draw back is the amps are on the whole time the car is running.

If you want more control over when your amp(s) are on while the car is running you could install a togle switch on the remote line.

Sound gate makes a product that works like a relay. I think the head unit trigger is only 5 volts and an after market amp needs 12V. Check out the sound gate site
