You don't have crappy $20 speakers on your computer, do you?

If that's not the problem, go get the cd changer checked out.

Thumbs down

The CD changer in my car anyway, sucks to say the least. I'll be having my second brand new unit put in within the next week or so.

The first incident happened @ about a year old; I wasn't able to load any discs. Got a brand new one. The most recent happened a week ago; I loaded 1 disc, it made a scratching sound (parts moving inside), started playing w/ same scratcing noises, tried to eject and can't come out. Press load, it says insert disc 1 (my first disc is in limbo!).

I had the same problem, but it was a problem with the type of CDR's I was using. I went over to the Memorex Black CDRs and the problem went away. They play and sound as good as my other cds now.

i agree - try a different brand of CD-R's. some brands work, and some brands have that loud static behind them. i don't think it's a function of quality, since the ones that work in my car are cheap-o's. so don't go out and by "high-end" name brand CD-R's, because those might not work either.

i've used memorex also - those work well.
