Default Disappearing NAV Hard Drive Mystery

I opened the trap door on the NAV computer today to check out the disk (98 version). The PCMCIA drive slot was EMPTY! (Yes I do know what an empty slot looks like.)

I recall looking 5 years ago and seeing a 1.6 GB Fujitsu PCMCIA drive there with a little bent wire handle.

Does any one know what has happened? I have latest update running from some sort of disk. Does Lexus now use a larger drive mounted internally?

I guess I’ll need to take the covers off to find out.

Default HARD DRIVE LOCATION.

IF YOU TAKE OFF ENTIRE CONPUTER FACEPLATE THE 98 HARDRIVE IS ABOVE THE EMPTY SLOT.
