I've completed the install of my Focal Polyglass components and now I'm looking for some subwoofer recommendations. I'd like to only run one 12" in a sealed box.

Requirements:

12", 4ohm or dual 2ohm voice coil
efficient(to be powered by 250 RMS, Xtant amp)
SQ is important
work well in sealed enclosure(to be custom built around chosen sub)
clean, tight bass reproduction
would like to spend about $200-$250

Just looking for some recommendations and experiences.

Spend a little more and pick up a JL 12w7 would be my recommendation. You wil NOT be dissapointed.

 

W7 setup would be a heck of a lot more! The driver alone is way over his budget, let alone an amp to properly power it.

 

How about an Image Dynamics IDQ? A great SQ sub and you should be able to find one for $200 or less.
