Default Bass

If you want GOOD BASS go with a 12" solobaric kicker L7 with a ported box . I just finished my as Im typing this I will take a pic tomorrow so you can see that it doesn't take much space.by a way get 4ohms dual coil so u can drop it to 2ohms. p.s you can face the sub anyway u want to because the port is whats making all the work.

"Trust me, you can get more bass than you will ever need into the cabin without firing the sub through the factory hole."

I totally agree with this. I have 2 Solobaric S12L7's in a sealed enclosure powered by JL Audio 500/1's (1 on each sub) firing to the rear and have no problems at all with bass

Angelslex,

I did all the work myself, they are dual 4ohm VC's ( i'm running them @ 2ohms). I built that same exact box (if it's the one on kickers site) and ran it firing to the rear. I tried front and top with all of my boxes and always found the best response is towards the rear.

DPGS430, did you do anything special to get more bass in the cabin other than removing the factory sub?

I removed everything from the rear seats back, there was a couple of pieces of grey carpeting and the rubber covering behind the seat. I also removed the stock sub and dynamated the whole deck top and bottom. There is about a 2" gap from the top of my box and rear facia to the rear deck. Thats all I needed. It also depends on how much power you run to the subs.

DPGS430. I did the samething remove the seat to get to all that stuff thats behind the seat and dinamite the deck and i use carpet padding in the middle of the deck and the cover and by away you know where the stock sub is I remove it and cut out a hole for like three 12" sub and made a new cover. P.S Can you still get to your spare and how did u do the sides of the boxes .if Im looking at your box from the front the middle is just the sub box and the sides are just wood correct? and what did you do with rattling on top of the deck?
