Default March 2016 Automobile Magazine - High End Stereo Evaluation

Pretty interesting article. Unfortunately, no Lexus systems.
Top rated: Meridian system in Range Rover
Second: Revel system in Lincoln MKX

No BMW test, but the Burmester system in the MB s550 rated 5th
I'm assuming the 2017 LS will up the ante

I wish there was an aftermarket active noise cancelling stereo offered.

Unfortunately I could not find a link for the article on the web. If you're really interested you can call libraries to see if they subscribe

I've been interested in noise cancellation too and wonder why it isn't more widely offered apparently it's not as effective as is imagine on the topic of noise I read a test of the CTS 6 where they said it is actually quieter than the Mercedes S 550. Planning on driving 1 to see if I agree

If you've ever heard the new Bose active noise cancelling headphones, it's astounding how quiet it is. I think the problem with cars is that unlike headphones where the distance between your ear and the speaker is fixed, you have multiple seats and the sound cancelling is going to be different in each location. I know they've done it for lots of cars though and people have done everything else under the sun as far as stereos go. I'm just surprised there isn't an aftermarket offering right now.
