Default Dumb question

I have a 2000 GS300 with pioneer stock radio and CD changer.

Is the amplifier integrated in the radio head unit or is it a separate component?

If it is a separate component, where is it locate?

Thanks

It's a seperate component. Located near the kick panel area, passenger side. You'll have to remove the kick panel trim and look next to the glovebox.

Thanks !

That will save me from taking the car apart just to find out how is all set-up !

Ok. so does this mean that the H.U. controls the radio and the changer. The changer's line level output connects to the HU where is combined (switched) with the radio's line level output and directed to the amp where is amplified and routed to the speakers, right?
