Default Pioneer OEM Amp

Hi all, I have a 93 sc300 and i believe i have blown the stock Sub amp. I pulled the sub out and it played nicely attached to my home stereo. Anyone have a working one to sell?
thanks

I believe there is a fuse in the amp but if that's not the prob here's a thread about fixing one.

maybe that helps, I don't have an amp to sell but you can always check ebay or the classifieds on this board.

the amp works sort of, it will push the sub but it sounds like surround is missing on the sub, lots of sloppy sounding bass. I am game to replace the "IC chip", any idea where to get a new one? and whats it look like?

IC is for intregrated circuit (if you don't know what one looks like just search the web they all look about the same). MY GUESS: you look at the circuitboard at there will only be one IC. Get the #s that are printed on it and order it from Pioneer.

That was pretty weak of that guy to post up so little details on how he fixed it for $20. Maybe you should shoot him a PM and see if he can fill you in on the details. Guess the fuse is ok since it sort of works.

EDIT: oh, by the way I would just get an aftermarket sub amp instead of getting a used stock one if you have to go that route. Heck, get a new sub, too, because it will sound better that stock no matter what brand you get. Most people recommend the "free air" subs since the car is already set up that way. Just a thought. I have (and others do as well) the wiring diagrams for your model so that makes it easy.
