2010 RX350 Subwoofer Upgrade
I would like to upgrade the subwoofer in my 2010 RX350. It has the 12-speaker premium audio. What I am thinking of doing, is removing the existing subwoofer and having a custom enclosure with a higher quality subwoofer (probably JL Audio) built in the same location. I would like to use an aftermarket amplifier with signal sensing inputs, a LOC and a new power wire that runs directly to the battery (fused, of course). My intent is to significantly upgrade bass response while maintaining a completely stock look.
I have searched the forum and cannot find anyone that has done this; however my searching ability could be lacking. I would appreciate some guidance on the viability of this project. If it makes sense, I will gladly post photographs and chronicle the entire procedure.
Thanks in advance for replies.

If the RX is like the other vehicles of the same year, you may experience less than satisfactory bass response at many frequencies if you tap your LOC into the stock sub amp. Many people suggest tapping rear door speakers instead to improve the result
