FREE is always a good word, especially when it comes to audio!

You'll do fine with the setup.

T,

Make sure the selector is set to "4" on the 4-5-6 selector. Inputs 1, 3, 5 and 6 will be for the 4 channel selection. On the output side you'll see markings "bridged" towards the bottom. 1 and 2 will form one channel while 3 and 4 will form the other. 5 and 6 are hooked up normally.

This is all from memory... scarry!

hey percy.

i tried the bridged set up with the 4 channel switch on and it would work for about 1 min then a loud noise came out from the speakers and it would cut off.. no music and the cd player wouldnt even run. of course the tuner wouldnt work also. i was scared i blew my speakers some how, but when i would turn off the HU an turn it back on it would work for another minute then the same result.. any ideas? i doubled checked the wiring and it was correct.. all settings the same as the previous set up except for the switch to 4 channel instead of 5. thanks in advance!

There should be two other switches other than the channel # selector. What are they set for? (under the glass). One should be set for "out" and the other is for sub control in that it redirects the signal. This may be causing the problem...

hey percy,

i just checked and both are set to out. and the other 2 switches r flat. i dont know if this helps at all but when i was installing the sub the installers had a problem because the sub playin the full range, it ended up they configured it to use the crossover on the HU instead, the people at mc told them that was the way the amp was design. still stumped

T,

If possible, give me a pic of the Mc amp as it's setup now. Something is amiss...

Inputs are at 1, 3, 5 and 6? Outputs 1/2, 3/4 5 and 6.

i will try to take a pic asap. i wanna try this set up!.i used the set up according to the +/- next to the word bridged on the amp. i believe + on channel 1 and - channel 2.... etc for 3/4 or vice versa on the polarity. and same for 5/6. i hope nothing is wrong with the amp. ive sent it back 3 times. one tiem installers thought it was broken because of.. long story.. so i'll try to get the pic soon. thanks again
