Default PPI vs. Mc amp

Does anyone have some thoughts on these two? I'm trying to figure out what to put in my Rx330 when I get it. So far I know I need to audition the Dynaudio speakers, but I'm willing to buy the amps based on recommendations. Are there any others I should be considering for really clean sound?

Go for the headroom. If you can afford to overpower the Dyn's wit hMcIntosh power, go for it. But if I have the choice of 100x2 McIntosh watts or 300x2 PPI watts, I'd go PPI.

ppi Pro-mos from 8 years ago... yes. PPI garbage nowadays... BAH!! The ppi i have in the marketplace right now is a great entry level amp, but if we are talking real amps, we aren't talking PPI.

The MAC has never been compromised, sold out, or built from inferior parts. They have always been top notch and never sacrificed quality. The PPI however cannot make the same claim.

Given this example, make your assesment. Would you buy a lexus if they were sold out to a company that changed all of the designs to use cheaper assembly line techniques and parts or would you buy the lexus that has always remained true to form? Easy one. You want a MAC. (BTW, PPI has NEVER been as good as mac, sold out or not).

It's unanimous then! Mc's it is!

I didn't know PPI had gone downhill so bad. It's been several years since I thought about amps.

PPI Pro, on it's best day, could only eek out a channel seperation number in the mid 50's according to Ken C. Pohlman of CSR. Mc has always been in the low 90's. 40db more channel sep, better filtering between channels (power supply) and all of the goodies.

Mc is the way to go in this (and most) cases if you're after QUALITY.

Get the McIntosh. I just installed the MC431 on my Dyns. No question ... McIntosh...
