Angry Getting frustrated! Need info on adding steering wheel radio controls to a GS300

I know this topic has been discussed before but I want to resurrect it. I want to know if the steering wheel radio controls that are available on the 01-03 GS430 can be installed on a 01-03 GS300. I've already voice my opinion on how stupid it was of Lexus to make this an exclusive feature on the GS430 when most cars (like Hondas) have had this feature for years. I've tried calling several Lexus parts and service departments and nobody can give me a definitive answer. Here's a link to the last thread on this topic.

Does anybody know if there is a special jack on the back of the radio to connect the GS430 steering wheel radio controls or does it connect through the wiring harness? From the past information I got, the wiring harness (i.e. cowl wire) is different between the GS300 and GS430 and it's very expensive. Thanks in advance.

Moderators, could you please move this thread to the GS forum. I'd like the people that frequent that forum to see this thread. I'm hoping they have some ideas. Thanks in advance.
