Very nice! You and Jawnthen both did a great job. I must admit I'm surprised by the wood too but after it's painted, it looks great.

Thanks Again all ! !

The Monitor is a 6.5 inch.

The system is controlled by a Pioneer AV brain via remote shooting at the IR window located on the lower right side of the monitor. You can control Radio, XM satellite, DVD, NAV, rear camera, access CD, Video Games, all on the remote. I chose not to use the Pioneer CD changer (That's another project), but if I had, it would of displayed Disc, track and title info on the screen as well.

The radio section is built into the AV Brain. The stations show up right on the screen. They even show Title of the song the station name and type of genre (If the radio station offers this information)

Can't respond often for the rest of this week. Got only a few days to finish and post a few more mods before the Carson meet.

Stay Tuned.

That is pretty cool! I am surprised that your installer used wood for the frame. Very nicely done though! I am all into such things. Congrats.

Smile More Product Info

Do you have more info on the setup as far as the monitor, tuner, brain thing goes? Is it all Pioneer? That seems like a great way to fill the double din in a SC. Would love more info Please!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

OMG...I'm speechless. That in-dash monitor install looks much better than all the installs I've ever seen done by so-called professionals. Amazing.

even more props if you have done it yourself. I'd use fiberglass but it really does not matter. whatever works.

I don't think you could ever find a "professional" who would put as much effort into a job like this as a dedicated vehicle owner would.

Default very Nice!

Very Nice install !!!

The best I've ever seen!! I love it! I was just about to do mine... (but with out moving the AC... but it looks soo good with the AC on the bottom!!!

I just have one question...

What kind of paint did you use for the trim? Did you paint both the trim for the monitor and the AC bezel? Could you please give me specifics... such as brand, color, color code, finish etc and also where you got it from... so I can go out an buy it... If you didnt paint the AC... How well does it match the AC controls stock? Thanks in advanced...

I'll try to provide more info & detailed photos in the future. I probably should publish an article and put it in the DIY section. I may be helping out lex400sc on his SC with a similar project, but it probably will be a while before it gets started.
