The best I've ever seen!! I love it! I was just about to do mine... (but with out moving the AC... but it looks soo good with the AC on the bottom!!!

I just have one question...

What kind of paint did you use for the trim? Did you paint both the trim for the monitor and the AC bezel? Could you please give me specifics... such as brand, color, color code, finish etc and also where you got it from... so I can go out an buy it... If you didnt paint the AC... How well does it match the AC controls stock? Thanks in advanced...

Thanks !
Flexible Automotive paint for vinyl, plastics, etc.
Trim and monitor were both painted to match the AC vents
SEM brand, satin black, #15243.
Available at automotive paint supply stores. (Where body shops get their stuff)

Matches AC as closely as I could get. Very close in color, sheen and texture.

Having a SC300, that will be the one I'll be looking forward to seeing/reading.

MDF - Medium Density Fiberboard. Particle board is too weak and has too many voids. All the curves were cut with a router, using templates and fixtures. It's actually pieced together out of 5 pieces of wood. Bondo was used to clean up the imperfections. Several coats of sealer and primer were applied, plus wet sanding to get the finish to resemble the factory look. Too bad I don't have pics of these steps.

Wow! And to think that you would never get your car back together again!?!? Nice work, Glen! I was very concerned when I saw you halfway through stage one...I think you had your entire interior on your front lawn

Yeah, unless you can stand to see your car like that, that is why you don't want to visit the install shop when they install a system. (I would though. )
