Default HEADREST MONITORS install on a GS...is this too MUCH $$$

Hello All

I was wondering if my install of a DVD Tuner into my 2001 GS 300 was too much or does it sound right. I know alot of you guys have screens in the car, I was just wondering if this was a good price.
My install includes 2 7inch mon in the headrests (new Headrests), 2 headsets for my kids, a DVD TV tuner installed at $1961.00. IS that a good Deal?

Any help would be great,

chaskim

Myron Davis makes decent screens pre-installed in leather color matched headrests.

I checkd prices it was roughly $450 for a 7" 16:9 screen nicely mounted in the headrest.

So, you can save ur original rests in case you dont want to sell the screens when you sell the car....not that we'd ever actually sell our GSs.

These aren't top quality screens, but they look really good for the money.

I have a pic on my desktop at home, i can post if anyone is interested.

Default Screen Set up

BostonGS4:
The screens are Myron Davis, includes their wireless headsets for my kids, a single modulator so the kids have to watch the samething (ones 4 the other is 2 not a problem now but could be in the future), I think he said Audiovox DVD TV Tuner, and a Wireless FM Modulator so I can hear Blues Clues while I drive. HAHA but for another $150 I can go 8 inch wide screen.

bluelex: Whats up man. As you can read from the top this is the stuff. I just don't care for Audio Vox, although my first cell phone back in 1988 was an Audio Vox.

Here is the link to the headrests. They said they only have the 2002 headrests but I don't think anything has changed from 2001 to 2002.

LMK & Thanks guys

chaskim,

I don't think you ever got your answer to your question, maybe I can put my .02 in. I've been pricing and gather info. to gather a system.
What did you pay for your headrest/monitors, DVD, headphones and how much $ went to labor. These will help determine if and where you paid to much.
How is the pic on your Myron and davis? I thought about them but I wanted something with the wires in the post and the Myrons had too many buttons on the fron for me.

You're right I never got an answer but I got hooked up with a friend that is getting me the 2 headrests, dvd, tv tuner, and 2 wireless headrests installed for about 1K but the problem is that he does it on the side so it may take awhile but with that kind of savings I can wait in fact I bought my son a DVD TV LCD 15 inch screen that can go in the car on long trips and stays in his room when not in the car and it works fine. Note: On long trips we use our RX300 most of the time and the GS is just for looking good and going a little to fast.

Thank for your reply
