No mention of Android Auto. Hello? Last I checked, half the population uses one, half the other.

How Does One Get It?
Been searching all over this forum hoping to find a Thread which details exactly how one can install the neccessary hardware to enable Android Auto in a Lexus.
I swear I read something here that even showed step by step instructions to install some wiring harness? Im NOT technically proficient when it comes to electrical stuff of this nature, but would truly love to add this in my car. If anyone in this thread knows what Im talking about PLEASE insert some links here?

There are some other solutions that have more hardware (v-line). On the surface it seems like the best option, but looking through the comments it sounds like a massive headache.
Go to the forum search and type in "V-line" and you can judge for yourself. They have updated hardware they released back in June, but last time I checked there were still a ton of bugs.

Just a heads up. Lexus is starting to roll out apple car play in the US. Any NX made in october will have it. Not sure about other Cars. For Canada its coming in January. No info on cars made before October but most likely they will offer it but sell it seperately.

you have to search Lexus Nx apple carplay in google and click on the lexus.com link. If you go direct to the site and navigate to NX features it doesnt show up.

Excuse the newbie response/question. Has anyone installed https://www.navtool.com/lexus.aspx and if so, what has been your experience. I've been thinking of purchasing/installing V5.0. What I saw with the GROM V2 was OK, but it was not Apple CarPlay. It indicates CarPlay like, but does not seem to be authorized by Apple.
Thoughts?

Hmmmm
The BeatSonic simply mirrors your phone, the you can use Android Auto on your phone, but won't be able to use any steering wheel controls or touch screen to control AA.

Here's what's published currently on the Lexus website:
Android Auto will be available on select Lexus vehicles in the future. We will announce individual vehicle compatibility at a later time.

I highly doubt that will come in the form of a software update push. They're talking about 2020+ production. Hell, I dont even use ANY of the Apps in the Suite!
