Over the past few months I've lost several LCD segments from my radio display panel. At first it seemed to be related to temperature but now those segments fail to 'turn-on' at all. I suspect it's the panel itself. BTW: It's the factory standard Pioneer radio.
My question is has anyone experienced the same type of problem and if so what was your remedy. I don't think it's a loose connection and anything like that. I haven't brought the car into Lexus since it's out of warranty and don't feel like having my wallet raped over this matter.
Maybe some of you CL members have a Pioneer version LCD panel that you removed when you upgraded your sound system. If so, let me know in a PM or at arnie.provone@verizon.net.
Thanks,

It is a common problem on the GS Pie on ear models. It happened on my first GS and seemed to be worse in cold damp weather. There is a company in the UK called http://www.autosound.ltd.uk/ that Lexus dealers in the UK send their faulty units to for repair. Maybe if you email them, they could send the parts with some instructions so you can get yours fixed.
