I think it looks pretty cool, but what's the reliability of NecVox? I haven't heard of them before...

It's a Taiwanese brand and is used extensively here in Asia. I think they are sold quite well too in England and Europe under a different brand. I am not sure about quality but the review on this brand has been quite favorable.

Actually, that's what it was.

Rosen = necvox. Same thing, just different brand (kinda like toyota and lexus, minus the hype).

I guess the Necvox name means they can charge more money? I've found the Rosen R6500 for about $1075.

The Rosen / Necvox unit isnt too bad, Ive had the rosen unit (R6500) - not as technically advanced as alpine, kenwood, or panasonic.... the menus are clean and simple - and the control panels (sound configurations) are lacking, basically treble and bass. I would say its good for a normal cd / dvd player but i wouldnt expect you to setup a pro stereo on this unit - at least without quiet a few crossovers and a dsp. The front panel is also somewhat slow moving. I personaly prefer a high tech kenwood / alpine setup. But to each thier own
