2/8 Ohms??????

I have some orion subs and they website says they are 2/8 ohms (impedance). What on earth does that mean. I need them to fit in a 1 Ohm set up, will this work?

I suspect that they have two 4-ohm coils. Wired in parallel you have 2 ohms, wired in series you have 8 ohms.
