I have modified them to fit 6.5" Focal PS165F Components and Coaxials, and the midbass is lacking. I have heard on the forums that some were able to get decent midbass using the OEM speaker boxes but my midbass with these Focals in the boxes is on par with my old nakamichi's.

The midbass for the rears is much worse than the fronts, I think it may have to do with the shape and dimension with the rear speaker boxes? I have also since put silicone putty around the perimeter of the speakers so there is an airtight seal, it made a small difference but I don't think that was my biggest issue. Has anyone else used the speaker boxes with satisfactory results? Would appreciate some input, especially on the rears!
