Broken Ribbon Cable
Hello All,
Long story short, bought an 02 SC430, replaced head unit and speakers with correct Ohm. Factory head unit sounds better than new so I want to put in the old head unit with a mod to add the auxiliary input. I will also add an external raspberry pi CarPlay Unit to interface all of my tunes.
mangled pins
cable connects here and here
When I disassembled the head unit to add the aux, I ripped the damn ribbon cable out of each seating. I didn't know it was there. Oof.
I tried reseating the cable to the best of my ability but have just mangled the **** out of the pins.
Is it even possible to reseat the ribbon cable? What are the best practices associated with reseating the ribbon cable?

So I just got replacement 30 pin ribbon cables, installed the best I could, powered it up and boom, nothing. The face is not lighting up.
I am ordering a reverse harness for my radio so I can bench test instead of having to get in the car to test. More to come.
