the aux port in my 2009 Lexus RX350 doesn’t work anymore
I have a 2009 Lexus RX 350 and I bought it used (the one without navigation). The previous owner had installed a third party AUX port into the stereo system (the brand is iSimple) and I have been using the AUX almost every day for a year and a half since I commute to school. Whenever I press the AM-SAT button, it connects to my iPhone 11 through the AUX port. In order for it to work for my iPhone, I had to get a third party 30 pin to 3.5 mm headphone Jack adapter, and an official Apple headphone Jack to lightning cable adapter. So there are a few parts to the setup.
It finally stopped working yesterday. Before, whenever I pressed AM-SAT, it would just say AUX 1 in the text section and music would play from my phone. Now at first, it says “iPod” then “001,” which I guess is supposed to be a track number, then after that, it says “No iPod connected” and it won’t play music from my iPhone anymore. It never did that, so I’m wondering why it just suddenly stopped working. Any thoughts?
