audio MP3's or WAV using CD-RW

I own a 98 Lexus with the Pioneer stereo system. I can't play audio MP3's or WAV or any CD-RW media using this system. How difficult would it be to update or modernize the CD player?

You'd need to buy an aftermarket deck with MP3 capability. It's really easy and lot's of us here have done this.
-deck
-mounting kit
-wiring harness
