Default Oil light comeson after engine warm up!

I have a 2000 GS 300 3.0 engine. after the engine warms up the oil light comes on and will go off with the slightest acceleration There is also a slight knocking noise that does not go away with acceleration. any Ideas?

Hello amcbride, it is difficult to diagnose this concern through this channel. We recommend you have your vehicles inspected by a Lexus dealer as they would be in the best position to assist. You can find your local Lexus Dealer here: http://www.lexus.com/dealers

Have you checked your oil level lately? Also when was the last time it was changed?low oil level or really dirty oil can mess with the oil pressure
