Honestly, I think that could be a real car. Yes that Lexus symbol looks photochopped, but looking at some of the details like how you can see the discs through the weel in the first shot, the writing on the sides of the tires, and how all the shadows and lighting are perfect, seems too detailed to be photochopped. Also, there's some sort of grainy looking texture to the picture which could just be from scanning, but how would you get such a texture on the WHOLE picture in photoshop? The taillights also look rather "real" to have been photoshopped. I dunno...

If those are preproduction mockups which are heavily covered in black tape and masking, it sure is a photoshop job of an artist rendition of what they think it might look like. Until the actual real spy photos come out (i.e. field endurance testing), these cartoon-like artist renditions in Scoop and etc are simply ideas of imagination and wishful thinking.

I generally liked the interior but felt like some of the materials were excessively cheap (as can be found in my Nissan). Another thing that bothered me about the car was just how flimsy the doors all seemed. I know the car crashes well, but it just didn't feel quite as solid as ... say even a Corolla.
Still a good car though, as I said ... but certainly not an IS - which was my point ... I was just making a distinction b/t the two b/c of the fairly similar styling.

The current IS, IMO is a handsome car and this new one if it is it, looks GREAT. One thing about Lexus cars, DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS!! Pics do them no justice.

When I see pictures of the G35 sedan in the newspaper, I tend to drool more than I do over a listed IS300 ... but when I see an IS300 choppin along in person on the road - exactly the reverse tends to happen.
The IS is a beautiful car - and I'm sure the next one will be just as stunning.
