It will be interesting to see how those STi engines hold up in the long run. Subaru in general excels in reliability...there have been many posts about that......but when they took the old 2.2 L block and first increased the displacement to 2.5L they had head gasket problems from the added power and stress on it. My 2 cents on the 2.5L V6. Does anyone think that perhaps to get the 265 HP the car will have a hybrid engine in it, giving it more HP than it would of had if it was non-hybrid? I wouldn't be shocked if it is a hybrid, hence the 265 HP. I could be wrong, but I think it'll be a hybrid engine IMO. Only time will tell.

265hps in 2.5 liter displacement is possible.
