Lexus Trademark Registration (LX coming back)
Found some interesting filing.
It seems Toyota had registered LX600, LX590, LX550, LX520, and LX570. Maybe they still don't know which engine to go with. JX470 is also listed in item 72 but was dead under item 156. I think the JX470 is a crossover SUV like the FX or X5.
1) http://www.uspto.gov/index.html
2) click on "Trademark Search"
3) click on "New user form search"
4) Change Field to "Owner Name and address"
5) Enter "Toyota" in Search Term
Patiently waiting for the GS460

Great find!! Here's the direct URL for those who don't wanna go through the click themselves:

The JX470 used to be listed on another patent search site with note saying it's a Sequoia-based SUV, so it definitely won't be a crossover.
I think all the LX "variants" are just Lexus's trick to get people confused because people had a too easy time figuring out Lexus's upcoming models when Lexus used to register only what was going to be actually released. I'm sure they already know what engine's gonna be in the next LX, though I'm quite excited to see that they actually bothered to register the name LX600.
Finally, it's good to know that the legendary LX lives on.

My guess is that it'll be the LX570, with the 5.7L and based on the Tundra.
It's gonna be a giant SUV with a giant engine. Should give the Escalade a run for its money. They need to start advertising to NBA players pronto.
Oh, and a nice $70k price tag.

And yeah, I see they later filed the JX470 as DEAD. Woo hoo...glad they keep the LX name.

I would be really happy that Lexus keeps the LX in LeXus...not switching to JX. LX has more gravitas as the 'big SUV'...JX would be better suited for the new crossover they're talking about. Better than VX, possibly.
...are there any other trademarks out there? Like an IS 350C or something new?
Edit: searching now...interesting
LS600hL
JX 470

I have no idea why they would think of getting rid of the LX in the first place. That would be a dumb move. So this truck has been on the market for what 9 years already?? I'm thinking they will push it to 11 years. I read a long time ago that they dont make much money on the LC/LX. Thats probably why they dont change the style to much. And honestly, I still think its on of the better looking trucks out anyway(along with the Range Rovers).
