It really depends on how you want it shipped - open or closed shipping, door to door or to a terminal.
The last time I considered shipping from Florida to Bay Area I got a quote of $1100 for shipping on an open carrier but top rack.

From San Jose to Miami, Pickup date of 4/6/05 est. delivery 4/25/05
Open Carrier:
Door to door - $862
Door to Terminal - $795 (Delray Beach, FL)
Terminal to Door - $865 (Hayward, CA)
Terminal to Terminal - $720 (Hayward to Delray Beach)
It's $1100 - $1335 for closed carrier.
