Forgot to check back for his informative reply. Exactly..... faster spool. These turbos are good - Toyota never intended people to test the limits. You're basically calling something crappy that was made to do something @ 11.5lbs that it does damn well. That's the way Toyota designed it. You really have no argument. That's like saying an SC300 is crappy to a SC400 because Toyota gave it 1.0 liter less displacement, come on now.

And they dont last as long as the regular twins! So in my eyes that really sucks!! So that leads me to call them......CRAPPY!!!!! Just like a JDM mr2 turbo...yes they spool quicker but they have crap for top end and do not last as long...same as these turbo's!! And for saying sc300's are crappy compared to sc400's.....i believe that is owners decision.

They don't last as long because all you hear about is people over-boosting them, at stock pressure they last as long as any other thing Toyota makes.

But how many people leave them at stock pressure? I guess for everyday driving and leaving the boost alone they would be fine. But no one does that these days!!

How am i ignorant? Have you ever owned a 2jz TT motor?? I have experience with both turbo's!! So do your research before you go calling people ignorant. People like you who call people ignorant are actually the ignorant ones!!! But yes......enough of the cluttering. Good luck with the sale beautiful car either way!! There was a guy on supraforums actually asking about it.

not just like a JDM mr2 turbo...the ct20b in the JDM mr2's actually have MORE top end than the USDM ones...big reason why they make 245hp compared to the USDM's 200

Not all JDM 3sgte's came with the ct-20b though!! I was comparing ct-26 to JDM ct-26!!

ah..was thinking 3rd gens...the ceramic ct26 still spools as high though and a little faster...but the supra ones may be different...the steel ct26 is only efficient to 15psi anyway
