Default 1992 SC300 5-Speed - Washington DC area $6000 Firm

1992 Lexus SC300 5-Speed

* Very RARE 5 speed model
* 225 HP Inline 6 Cylinder
* Rear Wheel Drive
* This car shares the same platform and engine as the same vintage Supra, basically its a more luxurious version
* 4 Wheel independent suspension
* 127,500 Miles
* Excellent Conditon for age. Most people are suprised this is a 14 year old car The pictures speak for themselves.
* Power Windows
* Power locks and Keyless Entry
* Power Seats
* AM/FM Cassette and 12 Disc Changer
* Lots of recent work including a new clutch, I have all the service records.

This is a very fun car to drive. 5 speed/manual versions of this car are very hard to find. We recently picked up a MR2 Spyder and need to get rid of a car. This Lexus runs very well and is in great condition. Only one major problem, the A/C does not work and price has been adjusted for it . Last owner had it serviced and said there was a leak somewhere, they put in the tracer dye so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Other than that she runs great.
Price: $6775

Shoot me a PM if you are interested!

Allright.... since no one is reading the firm part and sending offers anyway (with really amusing sob stories too!)

My best offer so far is:$5000 CASH

And I turned that down. It certainly wasn't a BAD offer, however, I'm on the east coast, 5 speeds are rare, unmolested cars are even more rare. And I'm not in a huge hurry to get rid of the car.

Been getting a lot of questions, here is a summary of al those questions, hopefully this will reduce all the PMs!

-No major accidents, it has a clean carfax. The car was involved in a minor fender bender in the front left side quite a while ago. Had a new front fender put on it and the bumper cover resprayed from what I can tell. The only way to tell is looking behind the panels, the paint match is perfect (but black isn't too hard to match). The fender has also gotten a small ding in it since then, you can see it in the 7th picture.
-Leather is in good shape for the age of the car. No tears. The steering wheel leather is a bit rough, but no rips yet.
-Radio and Changer work just fine.
-Cruise works fine.
-Power windows work well. (Left side was replaced quite early on, so I expect it has some more life left in it than the right).
-Looks like the A/C Control panel was replaced sometime ago.
-Car runs and drives great. Doesn't burn any oil, starts easily even in the teens. Idles smooth as silk.
-Nothing needs to be addressed immediately unless you need the AC.

very nice looking car. stay very firm on the price. i baught my first SC about 3 years ago from a guy in VA with simmilar milage, 5speed, only gray interior, and i paid $7000 for it. the car is worth it, and if you wait, you will get that. im suck of all the cheap people trying to get into SCs for $2000 because they saw some guy post that he did.... even if it was a wrecked auto with 200k on it.

good luck with the sale.

You didn't take $5000 cash for a 14 year old car with 127k I would have run with that man. I understand it is a 5spd but still.

Good luck with the sale though. Car looks like it is in great shape

Take a look at some cars in the Autotrader on the east coast and see what kind of trash there is for over 7k. There are some torn up, crappily moded (fart can, cold air intake, crappy wheels and horrible tint). Torn up interiors and exteriors. Most are automatics too.

KBB value for PRIVATE sale is: Excellent $5,780. That doesn't factor in the manual transmission. Retail is $7,615.
