I am selling my 95 sc400 because I don't have the time to give it the TLC it needs. I am barely getting by pouring money into my other car, let alone this one. I will tell you EVERYTHING that is wrong with it, no hidden surprises. This is a great buy for anyone with some knowledge about these cars because all the fixes are easy. Why haven't I fixed them myself? Let's just say I'm no mechanic and I'm ok with that. The reason I am selling it so cheap is beacause it needs a few things that I haven't done yet. I am asking $7,000 obo for it.
Here is what needs to be fixed:
1.) Power steering (go figure) is leaking. I just had the pump replaced but the problem is it's leaking from a hose. I'm pretty sure it's not the rack. Easy fix, just above me.
2.) Front end damage. A few months ago it was pouring outside and I was coming home from work. As I was making a left turn the back end kicked out due to bald tires and it hit a small tree. The airbags did not deploy because I barely hit it, but it now needs a new front bumper assymbley. Perfect for anyone wanting to do a 97+ conversion or put a body kit on it. I also have a great condition 95 bumper cover as well that I will include.
3.) My transmission fluid is leaking slowly from the drain plug. I noticed this yesterday after I had Jiffy Lube change my oil. Go figure. I usually change it myself but I didn't have time this time.
4.) I am pretty sure it needs a new MAF sensor. When I read my codes it said "Air temperature Sensor". It makes my trac light, check engine light, and abs light come on.
5.) Small dent in the passenger quarter panel. It just needs to be pulled out.
This seems like a lot of things wrong with it but I am telling you every little flaw with it. I am pretty sure all of these are cheap fixes but I have no idea how to fix them. Any knowledgeable mechanic could do this easily.
Now for the good. The paint is in excellent condition. The interior is almost FLAWLESS. the back seats are perfect, the front seats are in amazing condition as well. The motor runs strong like brand new. Even with some flaws, I still turn heads.
I am also including my black Volk GT-7 wheels I purchased from MVP motorsports. I paid $2200 for them 2 months ago. These wheels are brand new. Drocay can vouch for all of what I am saying.
Only other mods are 1" Eiback springs and Injen intake w/ a brand new filter. Windows are tinted as well.
Any interests or offers please PM me. I am located in Fredericksburg VA.
You can view all the pics at http://community.webshots.com/user/jadrutherford The silver wheels are no longer on the car. You will recieve the black Volk wheels as stated earlier. These pics were taken prior to the front end damage and I will try to get recent pics up soon. Thanks for looking!

I decided to keep the car and fix it myself. I can't believe noone wanted a car with only 77k miles for only $5,000. The amount to get it fixed would have been next to nothing.

I personally think that this car will cost 3-4k to fix....its a lot more costly to fix coupes than you think. If it needs a Power steering pump and a pressure feed hose, thats 700-1000 to fix alone.
Mass airflow is a few hundred bucks, the body damage can be 1-3k because a lot of damage can be hidden.

Like I said Hidden damage tends to be most expensive. I worked in parts for 4 years and I couldn't count how many small car shops thought they had the system and would pick up cars like yours thinking they would make a quick buck by buying the car, throwing a few bucks at it and then flipping the car. Almost every time they told us they would never do it again because it wasnt worth it.
