FS: 1995 Platinum/Black SC400 [FL]
I’ve decided to get a 2G GS so up for sale is my ’95 Platinum SC400 with black leather, Nakamichi, 12 disc cd changer, sunroof, and remote starter. I am the 2nd owner. The car has 196k miles on it so I’ll give some of its history.
I picked the car up from an attorney who was the original owner with 149k miles on it. He had major service done right before he sold it which included power steering valve, timing belt, camshaft seals, water pump, thermostat, terminal, tensioner, tensioner pulley. Alternator, radiator, AC pulleys/belts have also been replaced. It was very well taken care of which is why I decided to buy it.
Since I’ve had it maintenance items include, the starter (done @ Lexus), lower control arms (new for a Supra TT), power s steering reservoir, power brake booster, IAC harness, rear trunk shocks, passenger door handle clip, new tires (Falken Ziex 512’s 245/40/18) alignment, transmission fluid and just regular oil changes. The car is still getting 21-22 mpg!
Things I’ve added include cross drilled/slotted rotors, painted calipers with G2 caliper paint, replaced all speakers, replaced the stock wheels with 18” Millie Miglia EVO5’s, BFI (only the 1st part with the airbox), Sylvania Silverstars, 5% tint all around and Sirius radio.
The cars paint has been pampered with a combination of clay, Poorboys & Klasse AIO polishes, Meguiars’s NXT & S100 waxes. All done with my porter cable polisher. The headlights are crystal clear with no yellowing as well as the rear tail lights.There are some imperfections to note. One of rare times my wife drove my car she grazed a concrete base for a light pole in the parking lot (see picture), the rear spoiler is oxidized on the back lip, there is a chip on the rear bumper and also on the passenger front spoiler along with the some normal road warrior marks.
The interior is in great shape. The carpet looks brand new. The leather gets treated with Lexol regularly, the dash and all the plastic parts are treated with 303 protectant. All the bulbs work in the dash, climate control and stereo except for one on the speedo. Two things that are worth noting are two tears on the drivers seat (pic in gallery), there is also the infamous vent crack on the center vent. Everything else works, stereo, AC, sunroof, power mirrors, etc.
The title is CLEAN and a Carfax report is available. I am asking $7200 with the wheels and tires or $6500 with the stock wheels. As a BONUS I will be throwing in a brand new Porter Cable 7336SP random orbital polisher to the buyer. I am located 40 miles north of Tampa, FL. PM with any questions.
