1995 Lexus SC300 Red/Black Leather 5 speed! RARE!
#46
Jonathan,
Hold out for the right buyer man, I just sold my (actually almost identical to yours, mileage and everything) '95 red/black 5-speed for what I wanted to get for it. Lowball all they want, black leather is rare!

Thanks man! About time someone saw my point of view. I guess you just have to own one of these to know how nice (and very VERY RARE) the black leather interior, much less the 5 speed is, to really appreciate the whole pacakge.
I scowered the country for 2 years online for a red/black/5 speed SC300. Bought this one about 7 months back. I was looking to do the full Vertex Car-Make T&E replica, but financially I just cannot do it right now to a daily driver since I am in school and work full time. I would rather let it go to someone who has the time to do so.

Again, the price is Or Best Offer.
The car is on autotrader.com now.
I have a couple of offers but nothing serious to be honest. Its a gorgeous car in person and whoever gets it will really be pleased.

What is the most recent maintenance required through Lexus?
Or when was the last time the t-belt/tensioner, water pump and thermostat were replaced?
Have you replaced any suspension bushings?
What about shocks? Have they ever been replaced.
Original rotors or have they been cut their whole life?
Last fluid service (coolant, rear diff, trans) was done when?
I'm no stranger to Lexus/toyota and I know they are solid cars but 160K miles tells me that if these items haven't been replaced recently then I will need to be out of pocket quite a bit in the near future after already plopping down 8K.
The car looks great from what I can tell in the pics.

Timing belt, tensioner, water pump all replaced at 97K miles (has sticker from Lexus on fan cover in engine bay)
Rotors are not warped. Brake pads were replaced when the shocks were replaced.
Rear diff, transmission, coolant was replaced around 120K miles(pretty sure I am right here as well, I have seen the documentation either in my files or when I was at lexus of nashville, we looked up the vehicles history on the spot.).
I had a guy meet me today (local) for a test drive. He did this : when he saw the car. He even said it drives like a brand new car.
Things look and sound different on paper and the internet. I know what I have.
