FS/FT '93 SC300 Turbo! - Maryland
Asking $6700 or Trade if you have an SR'd 240 (S13 Preferred), or anything else you'd like to entertain me with.
I wanted to try something different and now I'm tired of this little project and would like something a bit less aggravating. I have spent a ton of time putting this fun little car together, and left nothing untouched. The vehicle is located in Bel Air, MD. Which is about a 25 minute drive North of Baltimore. The tune is VERY reliable, as is the car, and produces very good power for the small amount of boost ran. I am an automotive tech and have done most of the major mechanical work myself since I've owned the car. And so, I'm going to be honest and give you the bad news first:
The Bad:
The car DOES NOT HAVE WORKING AC! It needs a new compressor, and is already converted to the newer type of AC (sorry, its late and I can't remember which one it is)
The car could also use a new PS pump, because the current one sounds nasty, but still works just fine.
There is a SMALL amount of surface corrosion (nothing to get scared of, it will come right off with a sander and some elbow grease). One of the previous owners rolled the fenders with, you guessed it, a baseball bat. So they need to be taken care of. He also decided to hit a guard rail or something with the side of the vehicle and left some scratches on the body near the rear passenger fender well (as you can see clearly from the pics).
The needles on the gauges are burned out (which happens to ALL of these cars). For $100 you can have custom LED ones made from lextech.com.
Thats it! Other than that, you've got one insanely fun car to drive with enough power to keep up with Supras!
Vehicle Information:
1993 Lexus SC300 (Pearl White w/ tan leather interior)
Chassis: 208k miles
New Motor and rare 5spd transmission: 60k
The car is fully loaded with a sunroof (works perfectly) and power, heated seats/mirrors. Yes, heated mirrors.
I would give the interior a 7/10 due to the condition of the leather seats (3 inch tear in the drivers seat) and the shift boot and missing ash tray.
Mods
ARP Headstuds
Resurfaced head
Boost Logic 2.5mm Headgasket (Compression 8.2:1)
Boost Logic FMIC kit (piping and Spearco FMIC)
Greddy 20g turbo
Full Race Turbo Manifold
First State Motorsport Downpipe
Blitz Dual SBC Boost Controller
NEW IN BOX Turbosmart Manual Boost Controller
Greddy Type R External Wastegate (11psi spring)
HKS VPC/APEXi SAFC tuning combo (the VPC simulates a MAP sensor to get rid of the MAF...tuned less than 500 miles ago by Agile Automotive here in Bel Air, MD)
Unknown short shifter (Not shabby at all and shifts VERY smoothly, but its still nothing like a B&M)
Competition Stage 5 Drag Clutch (GRIPS LIKE CRAZY, but is still pretty streetable)
Silkroad Coilovers (12-way adjustable)
Supra TT Front brake upgrade (13in. rotors and big 4-piston calipers
Supra TT Front and Rear Swaybars
Sportmax 962 Wheels (275/40/18 Rear, 235/40/18 Front)
Rear set of tires has less than 5k miles on them, the fronts have less than 10k.
Autometer Boost Gauge
AEM UEGO Wideband
Kazama Auto Japan shift ****.
I'm pretty sure that sums it all up as far as the mods go. I also replaced the following parts 500 to 3000 miles ago:
NEW radiator
NEW water pump
NEW rear wheel bearings
NEW gaskets (complete head portion of motor ie. intake manifold/exhaust manifold)
NEW Royal Purple tranny/diff fluid
NEW Timing belt
NEW drive belt
I also have changed the oil every 2500 miles (nearly on the dot) with full synthetic 10w30 Mobil 1 and I only use OEM Toyota oil filters.
Just a note: The picture of the engine bay of the car is from right after I finished getting the head back on the motor approx. 500 miles ago so it looks a little messy. The vaccum lines have been tucked away neatly and held together using black zip ties for a nearly stock look.
Pics:
I'm honestly looking for more along the lines of a trade because I'd like to pick up another 240 ASAP without the hassle of having to buy. The car has a clean title and is in my name and ready to go. Also, if you would like any full-size images of the vehicle please let me know, and give me your email.
Thanks!
Bill

Fonzy: They are both GE's, w/ around 60k on them.
JoeySupra: I'm broke, hence why I'm getting rid of the car. I can barely afford to put gas in it after dealing with all the repairs I've already made, paying for my own education, rent and other things.
