The only modification I’ve ever done was a big one:
Rod Millen Motorsports Supercharger Kit installed in 2006. Installation work done by Jason at JP Importz, Garland, TX. JPI is absolutely the best for this sort of work, and you can see many posts here at ClubLexus. You can feel at ease because this supercharger was installed by a professional, and tested a number of times after the fact. I’ve been back twice after the dyno, just to make sure everything was OK. Overall, the supercharger mods cost me well over $10,000.
Check out the photo below. I'll add more with the hood up later.
I admit up front that I'm not a forced induction expert, gear head, or speed junkie. I’ve never been looking to race or show. My ride is bone stock on the outside, and that's the way I wanted it. My only intent was to add "significant" power to my GS400. JPI did not let me down.
Some stats “post-dyno” from JPI:
The goodies:
RMM Vortech S/C unit (freshly rebuilt), 310cc RC injectors, AEM wideband unit, Autometer boost gauge and SAFC II. Vehicle dynoed at 340whp on the Dyno Jet, 6 psi pulley was in place. A/F was solid at 10.5:1 during WOT, It was a little rich but we rather to be safe. Enjoy Rusty!
This only with 6 psi pulley and the simple SAFC! Just picture @ 12psi, greddy ultimate and a fuel system!!!
Feel free to contact me either by PM for any questions.
The only cosmetic flaw to note is some clear-coat peeling away on the hood, directly above the supercharger. Can be easily fixed.
